Are there standard line sizes (3/8, 3/16) or is it all dependent upon the carb, etc used in the build. Also, should I be purchasing a vacuum line 1/32 smaller than the fitting to ensure a snug fit ...The schematic I'm looking at (76-85 A/C vacuum schematic) shows two black lines coming off the A/C control. If you try to run a rubber hose the full length the hose will eventually get soft and suck together which will not allow vacuum to get to the transmission.Run your vacuum lines. The clip goes on the alternator bracket. MAKE SURE the hoses are going to clear the belt. The hose that has the filter and regulator is the vacuum supply. Poke a hole in the rubber bellow (on the top) and push the L into it. Put a T or something similar on the drivers side intake manifold, and hook the vacuum hose up.You can buy vacuum hose by the foot at most stores.
